CONSULTAZIONE
TESI DATTILOSCRITTE
Una copia dattiloscritta delle tesi (e una copia della
loro eventuale pubblicazione) è conservata nell’archivio
della Segreteria dell’Istituto.
Una tesi, prima di essere stampata, è considerata non pubblica.
Tuttavia, con il permesso scritto dell’autore o del moderatore,
può essere richiesta alla Segreteria per una breve consultazione
da farsi nello stesso ufficio della Segretaria o nella Biblioteca dell’Istituto.
In tal caso, allo scopo di tutelare i diritti d’autore, il richiedente
è tenuto a sottoscrivere una dichiarazione in cui egli si impegna
a non fare alcuna riproduzione fotografica o fotomeccanica (elettrostatica)
di qualsiasi parte, anche breve, del testo. È consentito soltanto
prendere delle brevi note personali.
Se il richiedente utilizza qualche elemento del contenuto della tesi è
obbligato a menzionarla nel suo lavoro.
N.B.: La tesi che dopo dieci anni dalla sua difesa non
sia stata pubblicata integralmente o in parte, può essere messa
a disposizione, sia integralmente che nella parte non pubblicata, di chiunque
ne faccia una richiesta scientificamente valida. |

CONSULTATION
OF TYPEWRITTEN THESES
A typewritten copy of the thesis (and a copy of the
published version, if there is one) is kept in the archives of the Secretary
of the Institute.
Before its publication a thesis is considered as not being part of the
public domain. Still, with the written permission of the author or of
the moderator, one may file a request with the Secretary’s Office
for a brief consultation. This consultation must be carried out in the
office of the Secretary or in the library of the Institute. In addition,
in order to protect the rights of the author, the one making the request
must sign a statement in which he promises not to make a copy of any kind
either of the entire thesis or of any part of the thesis, however brief
it may be. He is permitted only to take brief, personal notes.
If the one making the request uses some part of the contents of the thesis
he is obliged to mention this in his own work.
N.B.: Any thesis which, ten years from the defense,
has not been published either in whole or in part, may be placed in its
entirety at the disposition of anyone who makes a valid case for examining
it.

NOTA SULLA QUALIFICA DELLE TESI
Il sistema per calcolare la qualifica finale non è stato
sempre lo stesso.
- Fino al 15 giugno 1949:
6: probatus; 7: bene probatus; 8: cum laude probatus; 9-10: magna cum
laude probatus.
[Il candidato che in tutti gli esperimenti richiesti riportava il voto
9.00 o superiore (magna cum laude), riceveva la qualifica finale
di summa cum laude].
- Dal 15 giugno 1949: 6-7: probatus;
8: bene probatus; 9: cum laude probatus; 9.75: summa cum laude probatus.
- Dal 1 gennaio 1975:
6: probatus; 7: bene probatus; 8: cum laude probatus; 9: magna cum laude
probatus; 9.75: summa cum laude probatus.
- Talvolta a un candidato è stata conferita, per motivi paticolari
(ex consultatione), una qualifica superiore a quella realmente
conseguita.

NOTE ON THE GRADING OF DOCTORAL THESES
The criteria used in assigning a final grade for doctoral thesis
at the Institute have not always been the same.
- Before June 15, 1949: 6:
probatus; 7: bene probatus; 8: cum laude probatus; 9-10: magna cum laude
probatus. [The candidate who, in every exercise connected with
the writing of the thesis, received a grade of 9.00 or more (i.e., magna
cum laude), received the final grade of summa cum laude
for the thesis].
- From June 15, 1949: 6-7: probatus;
8: bene probatus; 9: cum laude probatus; 9.75: summa cum laude probatus.
- From January 1, 1975: 6:
probatus; 7: bene probatus; 8: cum laude probatus; 9: magna cum laude
probatus; 9.75: summa cum laude probatus.
- At times a candidate, for particular reasons (ex consultatione),
received a grade higher than that which would have been awarded according
to the above norms.
